Are your pieces authentic?
Yes — always. Every Fig & Gold piece is solid gold. Depending on the piece, you'll find 9k, 10k, 14k, 18k and 24k gold, always noted in the product description along with any hallmarks or maker's marks present on the piece.
For pieces without visible markings — which is common in older and antique jewelry — we scratch test for gold authenticity before anything enters our inventory.
What can you tell me about the gemstones and diamonds in your pieces?
This is a great question and we want to be straight with you about it.
Every Fig & Gold piece is solid gold — that we verify through scratch testing and maker's marks on every piece we carry. When it comes to gemstones and diamonds, we rely on visible hallmarks, the expertise of our trusted sources, and our own growing knowledge and research. We describe what we know accurately and share that information in every product listing.
What we don't do is make promises we can't keep. We are not GIA-certified gemologists, and not every piece comes with a formal grading report. If a stone has documentation, we'll tell you. If it doesn't, we'll tell you that too. For pieces where the stone's identity or value is central to your decision, we'd encourage you to have it independently appraised — and we're happy to answer any questions we can before you buy.
We'd rather be honest with you upfront than oversell what we know. That's the only way this works.
What's the difference between vintage, antique, and estate jewelry?
Good question — and worth knowing before you shop.
Vintage refers to pieces that are at least 20–30 years old. Think 1970s cocktail rings, 1980s gold chains, 1990s bold earrings. Old enough to have character. Young enough to feel current.
Antique is the more serious designation — pieces that are 100 years or older. Art Deco, Edwardian, Victorian. The kind of thing that makes people stop you on the street.
Estate simply means previously owned — regardless of age. Estate jewelry can be vintage, antique, or just a beautiful piece that had a first life with someone else. Now it's ready for yours.
At Fig & Gold, you'll find all three. Every piece is described clearly so you always know what you're getting.
What condition are the pieces in?
These are pre-owned vintage and estate pieces — they've lived a life, and we think that's part of what makes them beautiful. Every piece is hand-selected and described as accurately as possible, including any notable wear or imperfections. We're happy to send additional photos and answer questions. That said, all pieces are sold as-is. If you have concerns, ask first.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, as well as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay — all processed securely through Shopify.
For arrangements on pieces approved for layaway, payment details are handled directly — reach out to get that conversation started.
What's your return policy?
All Fig & Gold sales are FINAL. Because every piece is one of a kind, we can't offer returns or exchanges — once it's yours, it's yours. We do our best to describe each piece accurately, share detailed photos, and answer every question before you buy. If something's on your mind, ask us before you commit. We'd rather you love it than regret it.
Do you offer layaway?
Sometimes we offer layaway on pieces selected at our discretion priced at $3,000 and above. Here's how it works:
A non-refundable 50% deposit holds your piece for up to 60 days. The remaining balance is due within that window. Your piece stays safely with us until it's paid in full — then it's on its way to you.
If the balance isn't received within 60 days, the piece returns to inventory and the deposit is forfeited. No exceptions.

How does shipping work?
All Fig & Gold pieces under $5000 ship via USPS Priority Mail with full insurance and signature confirmation required. We process orders within 3-5 business days and send a tracking number as soon as your piece is on its way. We ship within the continental United States only.
Shipping is a flat rate based on the value of your piece:
- Pieces under $3,000: $35
- Pieces $3,000–$5,000: $50
For pieces valued over $5,000, we ship via FedEx or UPS with full declared value coverage. Contact us directly about any piece that costs $5000+ and we'll calculate actual shipping cost. Once approved, an invoice will be sent through Shopify for final purchase to be made.
Signature confirmation is required on all shipments, no exceptions. This protects you as much as it protects us.
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We can't be responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address, and because all sales are final, we're unable to issue refunds for address errors.
Always keep in mind that all sales are final.
